I just re-watched the documentary: greenwich village: MUSIC THAT DEFINED A GENERATION. I love this documentary which blends interviews and archival footage of the folk music legends who transformed the New York City neighborhood in the 1960s. On a snowy or rainy day cuddle up and watch it. Available on Netflix!
One of the artist highlighted in the film was Odetta. Her voice will exhilarate your desire to learn more about that amazing time in history. Martin Luther King Jr. named her "The Queen of American Folk Music." Learn more about ODETTA and her gift for creating powerful music.
